Dipeptides

Physicochemical condition of the terminal amino acid is a decisive factor in dipeptides (e.g. mirror variants of Pro containing dipeptides). In these ligands a close correlation was found between the residual volumes or lipophilicity of the N-terminal amino acid and the chemoattractant character, the lowest values were preferred (Kõhidai, L. et al., Cell Biol. Internat. 21: 341, 1997)
